Who Can Benefit From SAFE WA?
Why You, of Course!

There are numerous people who can benefit from work that SAFE WA, and it's network members do. I am sure that you will find a least of couple of groups that you fit into...

Parents/Caregivers
Parents/caregivers receive connection to statewide resources, support, and system navigation; free trainings and access to scholarships for training; mini-grants and technical assistance around establishing a parent or youth organization, or just pulling together an informal group; and a free annual parents retreat.

Children
Children benefit from parent advocacy regarding children's issues; from the parent's ability to navigate child-serving systems, gain education, training, and support.

Youth & Youth In Transition
Youth and youth in transition are supported in their individual perspectives and needs. Youth N Action, a SAFE WA member, is a statewide youth organization. Youth can access training scholarships, and mini-grants for their unique empowerment needs.

Providers/Professionals
Providers/professionals benefit from the participation of informed and educated parents and youth on their boards and committees; are invited to attend various SAFE WA trainings; they can refer families, and can access information that benefits the families they work with.

Funders
Funders benefit from the array of supports that SAFE WA offers families and providers; from improved children's mental health services due to parent voice regarding the needs and strengths of systems and programs.

Community Members
Interested community members who care about kids and families, who want to access trainings and information, can also join SAFE WA.
