Welcome to the Statewide Action for Family Empowerment of Washington (SAFE WA) website.

SAFE WA is a network of family organizations focused on supporting parents and caregivers raising children with complex mental health needs, and youth organizations supporting youth.

Our purpose is to mentor the diverse range of families whose children struggle with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges by providing support, education, advocacy, resources, and assistance with system navigation.

If you are a parent/caregiver of a child with complex mental health needs, SAFE WA can help to connect you with resources and support. We will help you to better understand the systems you are navigating and connect you to resources and support within your community.

By contacting SAFE WA we will also add you to our mailing list and email list serve to keep you informed about upcoming events and trainings. We will help you to keep informed about legislative actions that may affect the services your family receives as well as opportunities for your voice to be heard by policy and decision makers.

We are also committed to getting you connected with other parents/caregivers in your community and statewide that may be going through similar experiences.

If you are a youth ages 14 to 24 who has been affected by mental illness and/or emotional challenges we can connect you with our youth organization Youth 'N Action.
